Description

I'm a doctor. America was appealing for educational and career opportunities, but also because I could practice my religion freely. What keeps America together is diversity. With all the hatred now, it's not just Muslims like me that are affected. An Indian was killed because people thought he was Arab. There were attacks on Jewish cemeteries. That's a phobia. If hate is propagated, it doesn't end; it's like a ball of fire that burns everything down. But if love is propagated and we speak of tolerance, then I think this is a universal brotherhood that we can have in America. We are all immigrants. The only people who can claim this land originally are the Native Americans. The idea that someone else has more of a right to be here than me, that's unacceptable. That's why I became a citizen. I have the same feelings about serving this country and contributing. My skin color or religion does not change anything.
