We are presented with various pathways throughout our lives, causing us to make choices. We never truly know if we are taking the “right” path. Only in retrospect can we see where we have traveled and if the journey has supported our purpose. This piece has multiple pathways and ladder shapes. Sometimes we are ascending and other times, descending. Trust and optimism propel us forward, always seeking to find a path that resonates with us.Label Type
Technique or ProcessLabel
This is an accordion fold book structure. The double accordion structure is stitched where the valleys of the accordion fold meet. The panels are printed collagraphs on Reeves BFK and inked in intaglio and relief methods with water-immiscible inks. Warm hues are juxtaposed with cool tones to create contrast. Copper leaf has been added to enhance shapes or create new shapes. The print has multiple sewn lines to echo the linear pathways throughout the image. Copper thread, regular sewing thread,
