During the 1998 El Niño Event, Rob and Nita spent a month in Death Valley, Joshua Tree National Park and Anza-Borrego Desert State Park photographing this rare “100 year bloom.” Only seven years later, during the 2005 El Niño Event, they experienced a second “100 year bloom” and spent a month in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, Joshua Tree National Park, and Carrizo Plains, as well as several locations in the Arizona deserts.
