Description

This Kodak Vest Pocket Autographic was likely made between 1916 and 1925. It did belong to Antoinette Bondu. Born in 1923 in Nantes, she was part of the Bocq-Adam network. Arrested in 1941, she fled Douarnenez and embarked in Marseille towards Algeria. In Oran, she met the chief of the network, and sailed to gibraltar on a 5 meters long ship, the Ark Royal. From there, she rallied England, and joined the Volontaires Français, serial number 70167. She was deployed to Alger, then Hammamet, where she was assigned to the Hadflied Spears ambulance of the 1st DFL. She landed in italy, wounded by a bombing, and in Provence, was part of the battle of Authion, and ended the war in Alsace.
