The painting depicts a path in the foreground that leads to a patio with benches. Two sculptures with two trees line a grass walkway. It is an early work of artist Ernest Peixotto, a friend of the Bourns who painted the murals in the Ballroom, who trained in painting in France from 1888 to 1896. During his studies, he traveled to Giverny, France, to study Impressionist painting at the Atelier of Claude Monet. This painting can be seen in the Hallway in front of the Ballroom.
