Context

Annie Hough (1847-1909) was the daughter of John Hough (1799-1849 and Anna Cockburn (1805-1892). Annie married Robert A. Scott in 1868. Annie's parents were part of the early migration to Lauderdale County from the eastern states; her father migrated from South Carolina and her mother from North Carolina. Her husband Robert came to Lauderdale County from Georgia.
