Description

The Angostura point is a medium to large lanceolate point. The point was made using long pressure flaking method that created an oblique (diagonal) flaking pattern. Examples of this point are found primarily in the plains regions of the United States and Canada. It was named for the Angostura Reservoir in South Dakota where it was first identified.
