Description

This is known as a Jump Bar. These were used for drilling rock by hand. A central waist, weight in the centre of the shaft adds to percussion. Each end had a sharpened edge, roughly an inch across, which was slightly larger than Jell Ignite in for quarry use. These were used as manual rock, drillers until percussion drills came in. Only found in rock areas like the Western Plains of Victoria. Quite hard to find.
