This bell is referred to as a Monaghan pot. Oval top, Monaghan and Menke were both bellmakers who competed against one another for the longest ring. A competition was held at Kosciusko National Park to see which one could be heard over the longest distance. This one is definitely a Monaghan, not a Menke, in excellent condition. All pot bells are very hard to find.Collection
