Description

This is one of the rarest stock bells, cast in Australia by William Pybus. His foundry was on the corner of Lee and Hindley Street in the middle of Adelaide. Opened the foundry in 1841. The proclamation of Adelaide was only 1836.Pybus was mainly a commemorative bell maker. He always made sure he had over pour, never under pour. The over pour went into stock bells so they were made in low numbers. There have only been 5 ever found and this is one of them.
