This is a cap made to fit over the ears of a horse. The ears were pushed up into these leather sleeves. The idea was for shy horses that were easily spooked, that during the excitement of the race, the noise was blocked out from this horse to enable it to run unhindered by the noise from the crowd. The unique little piece with an interesting story behind it. This cap was all made from leather.Collection
