Made by Dahlke's Filter and pottery works mid 1800's the pottery was located in Nunawading, he was of Prussian decent and was most noted for his invention of an improved water filter in Europe . After his success in Europe, he came to Victoria after he had suffered financial loss's in Europe due to a bad business decision . On arriving in Australia he commenced building and improving his water filter design with the support of local investors.
