This is a trinket box. The feature of this box is the marquetry work of different timbers inlaid into the lid. This is one of the few remaining pieces that was done by the carpentry fellow that worked at Glenfine Station on the Woadyalac River many years ago. He used all the timbers that were available around him to do all this work. This box I've had since I was a little fella, unfortunately, a lot of it got destroyed during the 77 bush fire, but this is one of the remaining pieces.Collection
