This is a very early railway lamp. The provenance has it that it was from Beaufort Railway Station in around about 1900. An unusual lamp. The sides fold out with mirrored inserts to enhance the reflection of the light. It has a workable burner, chimney, and fuel tank all intact, Believed to be made by John Holloway Ballarat, but no maker's plaque. A beautiful early piece.Collection
