Description

These are known as tether pins. They have the, shape to hammer them in and then be able to hammer them out. These were used in the period of tethering house cows, sheep or goats, which was a very common practice, for many, many years. They were usually tethered on the roadside, with people that didn't own a property. The group with the tether pins is a iron loop that looped around the neck of a cow with a bell. Also had a chain. These loops were sold by Lasseter's through Lasseter's catalogues as the loop to put around a cow's neck to have a cowbell on the neck.
