This is what was commonly once known as a carpet bag. These were usually used by people that are in a desperate plight of travelling from one place to the other. They used any material available to make a bag to cart their personal belongings in. This one is a rare survivor, in a colourful bit of carpet with a wooden base and leather handles.Collection
