These are the tin collars worn by goats in Western New South Wales and Queensland when they were put on to the town common. The identification of the shire was on a little plaque, clipped into the tin work. The, identification of the owner was stamped into the collar itself. The fee had to be paid every 3 or 6 months as part of using the common. Very hard to find,Collection
