This is a wooden canister with a, a revolving wood lid. These were an intricate part of bullet teams. They were filled with fat that was put on the shoulder or the neck region of the bullock to stop chafing, with the yoke on. So each bullock team had one of these. Very hard to find. Pretty obscure. Not everyone knows what they are. This one is actually still full of fat.Collection
