This is a binnacle that covered the ship's compass, has a viewing window with a lid, the glass still intact. Also, has a viewing window from the front with hinged sliding side doors, all made of brass, white internal to reflect the light onto the compass plate. These were very important part of a mariners, equipment. This one, quite a lovely example in very good condition.Collection
