These are 2. The wooden one is called a fig, which is a wooden spike for rope making. The iron one is referred to as a marlin spike for the same purpose, but making, wire cable or wire rope from cable. Neither of these tools are used anymore, but these are a relic from an earlier time of rope and cable making.Collection
