This is a botanist's vasculum. Extremely rare. This one on the lid that has the original graphics of a group of birds in a wetland. It has the carry strap for the shoulder, decorative pressing on either end. These are very hard to find, used by the early botanists for sample taking. After they took the sample, they had to do their botanical drawings before the samples dried out. All the samples were carried in these cases.Collection
