This is this is called the Everworm radiator lamp. These are from the days of early motor vehicles. They were hung under the front end, under the radiator, or the block of the engine to prevent freezing the block, and therefore, cracking it in heavy frost. Got a heavy mesh gauze around it to prevent it getting damaged. Huge fuel tank on the bottom so that they would burn for 12 hours. Very rarely seen. Quite a valuable thing.Collection
