This is the hand operated apparatus that opened up the rubber leg band that was put on pigeons at their dispatch site, so that when they got to the loft, it was pulled off their leg, jammed in the top of the clock to lock the time the pigeon got back to the loft. These tools are pretty hard to find. This one is a lucky survivor.Collection
