Description

A depression era child's toy. Completely made of oddball pieces of wood in the shape of a steam engine, cast iron wheels. The front has the little tin advertising peaches from plugged tobacco. This particular item was chosen to be included in the Making Do Federation Tapestry from the Bicentennial celebration. This tapestry is now on the walkway in the Melbourne Museum, featuring these articles.
