This is a classic home repair, an improvised tool which once would have been perhaps a screwdriver. The working end has been hammered into a piece of roughly hewn wood, a heavy iron collar. The end of it has a brass end for hammering or turning. Complete, very thorough improvisation. Classic piece from the 19 thirties.Collection
