This is all metal. The unusual aspect of this can is the quite ornate locking system for locking the lid onto the can. This one came from Linton in Victoria. Never seen this type of locking system anywhere else. What's the weather head there? There was a, a town service supplied by the local council of men who came around with a cart and collected these cans up, they were tipped into a suitable disposal place. A clean one that had been disinfected and washed was put back into the lavatory as a replacement. These were only collected once a week.Collection
