This is a very, very early thermos called a Thermoterion, made by Bevan and Flemings. Patent British coat of arms. Beautiful manufacturer's plaque inside the lid. This thermos would have held boiling water or freezing water internally for a relatively small quantity that had held itself. This would be the very beginning of making thermoses.Collection
