Stoneware Pottery, this is a large, demijohn, with the handle intact, the lid intact, stamped. Campbell Brothers Limited, Brisbane. A lot of debate as to whether that stamping is from Campbell's Pottery or whether Campbell Brothers were running a business, away from the pottery and had it stamped as a product name. No definite identification as yet. This stamping of Campbell Brothers has created a lot of discussion and dispute. John Campbell that ran the pottery in Brisbane, when he died his sons took over.
I assumed that this Campbell brothers were the follow on from John Campbell, Brisbane. But no one else has found any article stamped Campbell Brothers, Brisbane. A yet to be decided, opinion.Collection
