"Dr. Williams' Pink Pills for Pale People" were a highly popular late 19th-to-early 20th-century patent medicine. Originally marketed as a blood builder and nerve tonic, their primary active ingredient was ferrous sulfate (iron). While they were effective for treating mild iron-deficiency anemia, they were notoriously advertised as a "miracle cure" for almost every known ailment.
