This handpiece is known as the Argentina. DG&M (A16) 1893. A very decorative metal back joint cover. This handpiece was made by the Wood and Payne Company in England. This is very rare, still with its original leather cover. Quite a rare piece. I am not familiar with any other ones of this model. Note there is no tension pin as understood in other machines, the tension being carried direct from the centre of the tension nut to the loose roller resting in the socket in the fork.
