Round soup plate made from ironstone, 9 7/8 inches diameter, white with raised wheat pattern, made by the Powell & Bishop company which existed between 1867 - 1878. The company was English and located in Hanley, in the Western Midlands. Mark on bottom reads: "Ironstone China, Powell & Bishop" with a stylized royal coat of arms. Plate has two major cracks and appears to have been glued together at some point. Plate was descended through the family of John McLeod a HBC employee who worked at Fort Nisqually in the 1840s.Inscription/Signature/Marks
