American flag with 37 stars, belonged to the Thomas Huggins, son of Edward Huggins, last British clerk in charge at Fort Nisqually. The flag has 37 stars and dates between 1867-1877. The Huggins family's use of an American flag is documented in an 1896 photograph from the WSHS collection. Measures 20 feet long.
