Book owned by Dr. William Fraser Tolmie: "The Anatomist's Vade-Mecum: A System of Human Anatomy" by W.J. Erasmus Wilson, published in London, 1840. The spine reads "The Anatomist's Vade-Mecum, Wilson". Signed by Tolmie on the first blank page and the upper left corner of the illustrated title page. The book includes over 150 woodcut illustrations by William Bagg, a well known artist whose work appears in many other medical texts of this period.
