Mid-19th century, weight driven, pendulum, OG clock. Rectangular pine case with a walnut veneer, clock face reveals gears through center hole, has roman numerals. Pendulum swings behind a glass door covered in a gold and blue design on lower half of clock. Glass panel is a modern replacement, a copy of a period design. Clock needs to be rewound regularly. Measures 25 7/8 inches tall, 15 inches wide, and 4 1/8 inches long. "OG" refers to the curved shape of the molding that forms the case, around the clock face and glass door and pendulum. OG clocks are from the United States and are sometimes described as "simplified Gothic" in taste. This clock was manufactured in Connecticut by Seth Thomas.
