Wooden cassette or trunk, owned by the Huggins family while they lived at Fort Nisqually (1860-1906). Once painted green, the cassette is now mostly natural wood, with the remains of the paint evident on the lower part. The corners of the box and the lid are reinforced with square metal plates. The interior is unfinished wood. The key to this trunk is included in the Fort's Collection as well. Measures 15 3/4 inches along the sides, 29 1/4 inches wide across the front, and 15 1/8 inches tall.Dimensions
