John Post, loyal alumnus and devoted friend of Saint Joseph's University, made this sculpture in his Pennsylvania studio,
inspired by the artist, Harry Bertoia (American, 1915-1978). Post's sculptures are displayed across the Hawk Hill campus.
Bertoia coined the term "Sonambient" to describe the combination of subtle
and sharp sounds that his metal sculptures produced. His studio was located deep in the woods of Pennsylvania, not far from Reading. Post, in this sculpture, takes inspiration from Bertoia's Sonambient sculptures, putting his own twist on it.Label Type
