19th-c. American oil painting of the Thirteenth Station of the Cross in an oak frame with an oak keystone at the top incised with the Roman numeral VI. This is part of a set of paintings that were originally made for St. Boniface Church, Philadelphia, a German-national parish. As the German-American Catholic community moved farther north, the paintings were moved to St. Henry’s Church, Philadelphia in 1916, where they remained until the church closed in 1993.Made/Created
