2016.K.01Description
One tattered blanket (quilt) which appears to have both hand stitiching and machine stitiching. The blanket measurements are 64 X 70. The boarder is red with blue, white, and yellow flowers. One side has tan woven material with red stripes on the the top and bottom. The tan material is extremely worn and tattered and it appears to have been sewn on top of another red patterned material which is different from the red flowered material on the border. The red material that is under the tan material is extremely deteriorated and the pattern on it is indistinguishable. There is what appears to be part of a dirty white work glove sewn near a corner on top of the tan woven material. The glove has several holes in it. The opposite side of the blanket has off white woven material sewn to it on top of the detoriated red material with indistinguishable pattern that is also on the other side. The off white woven material has vertical stitched blue stripes and vertical stitched brownish stripes. There are numerous brownish colored stains on the off white material. The off white woven material has several holes but it is not as worn as the tan colored material on the other side.Cataloged By
