This black-and-white, indoors group portrait features 13 men. They stand in rows on some steps. Five men are in the rear on the top step, two flank the sides of the group in the middle, and six stand in the front on the ground. Each man wears a dark suit, white shirt, and dark bow tie. Each sitter also wears a Masonic chain collar with a triangle pendant at the bottom, except for the man in the front row, four persons over, whose chain has a circle pendant. All men also wear Masonic aprons. The group stands in front of a temple-like structure with a pediment on top, and a large "G" medallion in the middle of the pediment. The backrop of this temple is dark with a design alternating rows of stars and flowers. On the back of the photograph, text in the upper right-hand corner reads "Installation Night/ Dec. 1968." There is a stamp in the center bottom section of the back of the photograph which reads "PHOTOGRAPH BY/ JUDSON SMITH STUDIO/ FREDERICKSBURG, VA."
