2020.1.35Description
The image shows the bust of an adult man with dark, wavy hair parted to the right, large ears, hooded eyelids, and a neutral expression looking at the camera. The image is in black and white and is oval-shaped with a white border. The man wears a matching vest and suit jacket with large buttons, made from a woven, textured fabric. He is also wearing a white, high-collared shirt and a patterned tie. The background behind the man fades from dark to light, the darkest portion being toward the right of the image and the lightest being towards the left. On the reverse of the image is adhesive residue around the edges and small stains along the bottom edge and in the top center portion. There is also one pencil inscription, written in cursive, which reads "Allen R. Howard." This is located above the adhesive residue along the bottom edge of the print and is slightly off-center towards the right edge of the print.
