Triceratops vertebra with spines broken off and missing.

General Notes
Note
This vertebra was lying broken on the surface and ignored for at least a year, even though the site had been visited numerous times. Close to it was a jawbone without the teeth that Dr. Hiatt, my brother Dennis, and I excavated using the plaster cast method. The jawbone was identified as Hadrosaur, however, I believe this vertebra and the jawbone are both triceratops. We will get a second opinion at the museum sometime and correct the displayed description as necessary. The vertebra was glued together with Duco cement and urethane varnished.
