This may be a photo taken of a photo of the church before its first bell tower was destroyed in the 1890s. It was not replaced until 1942. The postcard cataloged as 2026.1.107 also shows this old bell tower. Another possibility is that this is a photo of a similar church but not the Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter. Note that the postcard shows a tree in front of the church that does not appear in this photo.
