Probably completed around the time of his high school graduation in 1975, this watercolor by Dean Mitchell examines a dilapidated window of a brick building executed in muted browns and grays. The window is the focus of the painting as the background recedes into a tan-washed fog.

His themes are universal concerning life, death, family connections, psychological, and spiritual revelations. Mitchell received a Bachelor of Fine Arts and an Honorary Masters Degree from the Columbus College of Fine Art and Design. Mitchell has received over 600 national and international awards for his work.
