Description

Havana artist Virginia "Ginny" Coultas created this clay deptiction of the Gadsden Arts Center & Museum exterior in 2005. This sculpture was given to founding Gadsden Arts director, Zoe Golloway, in 2005 at her retirement party. Zoe is depicted as the girl walking down the sidewalk in front of the building.

Virginia "Ginny" Coultas (b.1929) Ginny Coultas has lived on a farm in Havana for over 50 years and has been drawing her whole life. She is mainly self-taught and is especially fascinated by faces and loves doing portraits. Ginny has been involved with Gadsden Arts since the beginning through leading student workshops, doing demonstrations, participating in Artists Guild exhibitions, and contributing her time and resouces wherever she can.
