Description

This panoramic landscape by Dean Mitchell, is reminiscent of the works of mid-20th century painter, Andrew Wyeth. Its muted earthy tones feature a large barren field against a cloudy grey sky. The viewer's eye is instantly drawn to a small circular hut situated on the right side of the landscape. Its smooth walls are contrasted by the hut's tattered roof. Mitchell also uses a scratching technique to define the texture of the dry grass and to create a thin clothesline in the midst of it.
