Description

This watercolor illustrates a woman with dark hair holding a large goose. Both figures are painted with warm golden colors of yellows, orange, and red. As a reoccurring theme, many of Dial's portraits feature birds. He also made numerous portraits of nude women, saying that man would lose his "struggle" without women's strength and love.
