Description

Mostly machine-stitched child's dress made of red, green, blue, black, yellow and white balanced plaid poplin. Silt warp and cotton weft with bands of golden orange and white brocade stripes in the weft to correspond to plain stripes in the warp. Gabrielle style with a widely flaring skirt. Back opening with button closure. High round neckline. Coat-like sleeves. Trimmed with apple green velvet bands forming a 'branch' from leaves extending and outlined in velvet and filled with puffs of the self-fabric; this appears on the front and back, and more around sleeve ends. The buttons are matching velvet with a double diamond escutcheon.
