Description

Entirely hand-stitched reticule made of white cotton with bullion, satin and outline stitches; four triangular panels come to a point at the base; loops of fly fringe at each seam a couple of inches above the bottom; two sides have a basket full of leafy twigs; the other two have small branches and a few leaves; seams embellished with crosswise bullion stitches; the baskets are framed with leafy vines; loop edging worked along the top edge; modern embroidery floss loosely piled and inserted as drawstring.
