Girl's hat made of medium coarse straw braid. Rounded crown with wide brim with wired edge. Rim finished with heavy black velvet ribbon worked into reverse box pleats; more ribbon is laid across the top of the hat from side to side, and again at a 90 degree angle. At the crossing is a flat bow and a couple of threads suggesting that there was more bow or something at the center top. The hat band is a waving band of straw braid bordering light blue horsehair braid. Matching ribbon ties, and an elastic cord. Buckram facing on the inside. PW silk ribbon ties, and an elastic cord.Collection
