Description

Nightgown for a nursing mother or invalid. Entirely hand-stitched, made of lightweight but sturdy cotton. Floor length; front piece cut at an angle half way down each side to provide gores at the bottom, butted seams. Back appears to go selvage to selvage; front and back bodies gathered into a collar stand with fine percale frill. Shoulder seams but no reinforcements or underarm gussets, fairly dropped armscyes. Long sleeves taper to cuffless wrists, fullness at the top. 15" front opening placket secured with 2 pairs of twill tape ties.
